We regularly provide advice, counsel and litigation services to school districts and other taxing bodies in communities which host Exelons Braidwood, Byron, Dresden, LaSalle and Quad Cities nuclear power stations, as well as those hosting natural gas and coal-fired electric generation stations. In the Spring 2006 the Illinois General Assembly undertook substantial revisions to the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law through the adoption of Senate Bill 1682. Throughout all of the negotiations, committee hearings and floor debates, the attorneys at Whitt Law LLC were at the table representing the Illinois Statewide School Management Alliance and school districts throughout the State. Similarly, in the Spring 2007, the Illinois General Assembly considered legislation on the assessment and taxation of wind energy devices, being constructed throughout western and central Illinois.
