PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Brian P. Wojcicki focuses his practice on legislative counseling, as well as civil and administrative litigation in the areas of labor and employment law, insurance coverage and worker’s compensation defense. He has litigated matters in Illinois state courts as well as administrative agencies, including the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission.

  • In the Circuit Court of Cook County, Mr. Wojcicki successfully defended his client against significant liability from professional fees and interest sought by a medical facility, ultimately securing dismissal of the suit.
  • In the Circuit Court of Cook County, Mr. Wojcicki successfully prosecuted insurance fraud for his client following settlement of an alleged total disability claim by a former employee, resulting in rescission of the original settlement contract.
  • Before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, Mr. Wojcicki won denial of a workers’ compensation claim for his client, with the arbitrator highlighting Mr. Wojcicki’s  cross examination of the employee.
  • Before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, Mr. Wojcicki won denial of a workers’ compensation claim for his client regarding an employee with conflicting locations of the accident, who was unable to confirm his allegations during cross examination by Mr. Wojcicki.

Mr. Wojcicki joined the firm in 2014. He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Bradley University in Peoria, IL and his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. While at Chicago-Kent, Mr. Wojcicki participated in the Labor and Employment Law Certificate Program and, since graduating, has served as an instructor in trial advocacy for a top ten nationally ranked law school program.
In his current practice, Mr. Wojcicki represents multiple national corporations and numerous school districts throughout the state. He often advises clients on issues regarding employee termination, discipline and workplace accommodations.
Mr. Wojcicki is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), and currently serves as a legislative liaison of the election law committee. He is also a member of the CBA’s main legislative committee.
Mr. Wojcicki’s work experience also includes several state agencies including the Illinois Department of Employment Security and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, as well as the department of legislative affairs for the Governor’s Office where he was responsible for tracking and evaluating legislation.
